Every gym has THOSE guys—the teenage lifters who wear gloves, half-rep every exercise, and insist on using the pu$$y-pad for squats. In this case, we’ll call them Tall, Short, and Plump—which, coincidentally, also describes their body types.
These three walk in, head straight to the third and final squat rack, and start their usual routine. Between sets, the gym owner and I watch, amused. They’re not doing anything wrong—just your typical clueless beginners figuring things out.
We could have given them tips, sure. But bombarding them with corrections would probably just discourage them. So, we let them learn on their own.
At first, it’s nothing serious—just light warm-up sets with the bar and maybe 115 pounds. Then, in an instant… everything changed.
